Interesting InstallAware pastebin

Foreign Correspondent from UK

In the mailbag, there is an amusing post on PasteBin about an InstallAware employee.

Whether it is true or not, your correspondent did find it amusing that certain shareware websites with download links to InstallAware trial have Royi Sher as the author of InstallAware.

Oh I have received an email today. Sounds very strange. Security Alert, Mr. Roy is on the getaway with knowledge ... he took the knowledge with him, now it's gone:).

/* sarcasms
He took the bytes from the server, they are no longer there, :))))))).
*/

To break a lance for Mr. Roy - he was always very helpful and helped me with my registration issues also on Sunday, ok, after the company had forgotten to ship my stuff anyway for one year and I had forgotten to check (I had bought the special at the time of CodeRage 5) but did not need immediately. I was waiting for a stable Delphi so 6 months ... you know, can happen.

Anyway - the sales arguments are very very strange. You get a tool that is soooo expensive radically reduced and safe more than the effective price is in the end, because the you own the same IDE the tool is implemented with. What?

InstallAware - come back to serious pricing. Make a clean price ...

We are not in X-MAS sales where things are 60% off after adding 150% before. 30 Years ago people had such ideas for commodities ... this maybe works with shoppers in super market, that need trainings how to use coupons ...

It would be interesting to know if the entries in the 'shareware' forums are younger than December 2010.

If they are a lot older than December 2010 ... mhhhh.

Jason Bourne: Where are you now?
Noah Vosen: I'm sitting in my office.
JB: I doubt that.
NV: Why would you doubt that?
JB: If you were in your office right now we'd be having this conversation face-to-face.
